Valkenburg was discovered as a tourist town in 1833. The beautiful railway station that looks like a castle invited many people to stop off here. Tourists discovered the impressive castle ruins, the caves and the beautiful surroundings. Valkenburg is one of the oldest tourist towns in the Netherlands, and houses the first tourist information office in the country.
Valkenburg is also called ‘spa village’ and ‘marlstone city’. In the city and its surroundings, the warm yellow colour of the marlstone is visible both under and above the ground.
Valkenburg has many attractions, such as castles, museums, anmd theme parks. The Thermae 2OOO spa and Holland Casino on top of the Cauberg are also well-known.
Groups can go on underground or aboveground mountain bike tours, or go zip-lining and abseiling. Pleasant shops, restaurants, terraces, the river Geul and many historic buildings are typical of Valkenburg. From the outskirts of Valkenburg you can go on wonderful walking and cycling tours through the South Limburg Hills.

There is plenty to do for the littlest ones at the campsite. Swinging, singing, dancing, sports, and games. The animation team will give your children a great time.
We have plenty of animals living on our children’s farm. For example, our pot-bellied pigs. They live together with the chickens. The rabbits have their own area, freely accessible to everyone who wants to stroke and cuddles them. We also have two donkeys: Ior and Ina! And we also have a whole bunch of very curious dwarf goats and alpacas.
Enjoying experience? You might have to leave the campsite. In Brasserie Bie de groeve you can enjoy all the culinary delights that this region produces.

At P1, the car park near the entrance, you will find 2 charging stations with a total of 4 charging points for electric cars. So you can take fun excursions during your stay and don't have to worry about the battery!

During the high season, you can order fresh bread rolls which you can collect from reception in the morning. You can also order baguettes for your barbecue or croissants for breakfast. Our snack bar and pizzeria are open several days a week during the high season.
Easy Be provides clean and dry dishes at the campsite in five minutes. Easy Be is a unique service for campsites and campers. Sustainability comes through the savings of 40 liters of hot water with every wash.
Our modern, constructed heated amenity buildings offer a large number of showers, toilets, and a washing-up area.
